This wine is D.O. Valle de Casablanca. The region counts among the cooler of Chile’s viticultural areas thanks to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean and the Humboldt Current. This wine boasts 13.5% alcohol.
Straw colored, one can tell this is a buttery Chardonnay from the get-go. On the palate it claims its very buttery heritage and offers yellow fruitiness, a nice touch of minerality, and a pretty long finish. The acidity and minerality save it from being written off. I’d prefer less oak.
Good value for the price.
